Riding Along The Pacific Coast

What did we do when we woke with nothing planned on a Saturday morning? We went on a motorcycle date, riding along the pacific coast out to Jalama Beach!

At the start of the lockdown about a year ago, since date nights out were no longer a thing, me and my husband started taking off to ride for the day with a lunch packed in a cooler or would pick up take out in a difference city. A year later, we are still enjoying these escapes together.

This time we headed about 60 miles north of Santa Barbara to Jalama Beach. A little jewel of a park hidden off a small county road right on the Pacific Coast. Though the trip in will make you wander where you are headed, the ride out and the beauty of the park is so worth it. Go to just enjoy a Jalama burger for lunch or make reservations to stay for a few days. The park hosts camp sights from the primitive to full RV hook ups to even cabins that can be rented. And the bonus? It is very motorcycle friendly. The walks along the beach, the rides along amazing road, and hiking are not far away.
