Joshua Tree National Park is worth the trip out!

As we started Day 2 of the Bikiversary trip, we headed out to spend the day riding in Joshua Tree National Park. To say the landscape is stunning would be an understatement. There is just something about the arid beauty of the desert that draws me and I do not think I will ever tire of seeing the sweeping vistas.

If you are not familiar with Joshua Tree, it is a National Park in southeast California just outside Palm Springs. The park derives it name from the Joshua Trees that are native to the Mojave Desert. The park, just like the trees that share its name, is rugged and unique. Hosting sweeping vistas, unusual geological rock formations, unexpected plant life, and wildly changing weather. Every few miles, just as you think you have seen all the park has to offer, the landscape and/or the weather changes.

It is difficult to express my time in the park as this place must be seen to be full understood. If you are ever in southern California, make time to see Joshua Tree. You will not regret it.
