Good Friends, New Friends, and Lane Splitting

It is my birthday weekend and my bike anniversary with Scarlett trip! This year to celebrate we decided to take a weekend trip over to Joshua Tree National Park.

To get there we traveled along the coast and across the northern edge of LA. If you have never been here, do not let this fool you. This part of LA is know for its crazy traffic as well.

So to make this travel day a bit more fun we stopped in at Simi Valley Harley-Davidson so I could introduce my friend and fellow Wind Sister, Darlene. If you saw my last post you know that Darlene is the one that I worked with when Scarlett joined the family and is just an all around cool lady.

Then we hopped over to Mulholland Harley-Davidson to check out their new location. They are doing a fantastic job there. They are setting themselves up to be a premier dealer in the great LA area.

Once we hopped back on the road, 5 o'clock rush hour was in full swing. Traffic was brutal, causing a 3 hour ride to take 6 hours and that was only because we could lane split.

Eventually we arrived at our hotel. tired, hungry, and ready for a hot shower. Yet still smiling. All in all it was a good start to what was a great weekend.

Be sure to come back to catch my next post where I will share our time in Joshua Tree National Park!
