Being Strong Enough To Ride A Motorcycle

One of my Frequently Asked Questions is how am I strong enough to ride my big motorcycle. This question is most often asked by those that are not rides yet or are new to riding or those that are wanting to move up to a larger bike. It is asked so often, I thought I would make a whole YouTube video about it.

The answer is not what most people expect either. The answer is…. Yoga! My primary form of exercise is yoga. I practice it on average 3x a week and add in core stability work (focusing on the abs, hip, back, and posture) another 2x a week. Both of these forms of training not only help with endurance, they also significantly impact my balance, spatial awareness, low back support, and posture. Not only am I stronger when I ride, I find that it takes longer for me to fatigue as well.

Though I do need to (and am procrastinating on) adding resistance/weight training back into my routine, it is yoga that makes the biggest difference in how and how long I ride.
