How Many Women Riders?

Did you know that 19%, that is 1 in 5, of motorcycle owner in the nation are women? You may say that is not a lot. What is cool… the number of woman owning and riding has double since 2009. That makes women the fastest growing demographic in the motorcycle industry! These numbers were published in the MIC Report: Women Ownership Reaches 19% by Ultimate Motorcycling on November 30, 2018 and I can only imagine how much they have increased since then.

I see it more and more as I ride, women are vacating the passenger seat and taking hold of the handle bars. They are riding all kids of motorcycles from street bikes to dirt bikes to the big cursers. All of these women, all how enjoy the feel of the open road are my Wind Sisters!

What is a Wind Sister you may ask? This is a woman that is difficult to define and hard to explain. She is a force on 2 wheels. She is intelligent. Capable. Passionate. Hard to break. Full of compassion. And each one is special and sexy in her own uniquely beautiful way. These women, they are the ones I choose to call Sisters.

So this blog/vlog is to all of you, my Wind Sisters out there riding the highways and backroads around the world. Keep the shiny side up!
